Social Media Manager

We are looking for someone that has experience working with multiple brands in the social media marketing space. Must be well organized, a strong communicator, client-facing, rock-star that bleeds social media marketing. We are growing and need someone that can hit the ground running!

The Social Media Manager will help develop the strategy for, oversee the execution of, manage the budget, and measure the success of the clients’ social media properties and social media efforts. Social Media Manager’s daily activities include:

  • Works to establish organizational/departmental processes and protocols as it pertains to social marketing execution.
  • Work with clients to create a social media strategy that collaborates with marketing, PR and advertising campaigns
  • Helps develop the overall social marketing strategies for 8 Dimensions clients including implementation, monthly social marketing plan and its implementation.
  • Maintains external social media sites and consistently updates and controls content and oversea design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blogs).
  • Responsible for ongoing performance analysis and optimization of paid media efforts to meet or exceed clients’ business objectives.
  • Sets and achieves objectives/deadlines and leads teams to successfully meet strategic imperatives.
  • Maintains existing properties for 8 Dimensions: Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, G+, LinkedIn etc.) through continuous posting of relevant material; create and maintain new properties as appropriate.
  • Works across communications, research and sales team to integrate social media initiatives into every day planning, pushing for social elements in every part of our business.
  • Researches and identify individuals “of influence" and affinity within social media spaces and the blogosphere for further strategic cultivation.
  • Develops and maintains social media training for 8 Dimensions’ employees, pushing for greater acceptance of the social program across the company and introducing the latest social trends and concepts.
  • Writing, editing and distribution of email marketing for internal and external audiences.
  • Represents the company during trade shows, cultural events, exhibitions, and other organized key initiatives where relevant to develop and curate social media content.
  • Manage the publishing calendar, social objectives, messaging, sourcing or creating the visual images for these posts, aligning to the content marketing strategy
  • Monitor topics, threads and discussions of company, product and brand on news, Internet and social media
  • Serve as in-house expert and resource for social media
  • Implement best practices for social listening, uploading, tagging, reporting, and optimization of channels
  • Track competition activity
